Rosemary Steak With Green Beans And Mushrooms

Method

  1. Season steaks with a little salt and pepper.
  2. Steam potatoes until cooked (15-20 minutes).
  3. Add oil to a pan on high heat.
  4. When oil is hot, add steaks & 2 sprigs of rosemary to pan.
  5. Cook as desired, turning steaks every minute (6 mins = rare, 8 mins = medium, 10 mins = well done).
  6. Transfer steaks to a warm plate and allow to rest.
  7. To the same pan add butter over a medium heat.
  8. When butter is melted add onions and cook until soft.
  9. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Add garlic and cook until mushrooms are browned.
  11. Add green beans and chicken stock and simmer until beans are cooked through but still slightly crisp (2-3 mins).
  12. Serve steak with vegetables and potatoes, garnish with rosemary sprigs.
